John Froats was a barber by trade,  and his clock is still ticking in grandson's home in Fonthill, On.

John Albert, my grandfather, had three daughters, all of whom have since passed.  He lived in Niagara Falls on Roberts Street, and his three daughters lived nearby, two in Niagara Falls and my mother lived in Fonthill, where I live now.  I have a picture of my grandfather in his military uniform, his mining light and his WW1 helmet.

Muriel Noreen Thibert (Froats)         Passed away Sept 22-2013,  aged 93.  She was born Sept. 6, 1920 at Niagara Falls, Ontario

Laura Bernice Biggar (Froats)         Passedaway June 6, 2013, age 90.  She was born Oct. 20, 1922 at Niagara Falls, Ontario

Alma June Heximer (Froats)             Passed away Sept 26-2006, age 80.  She was born May 26, 1926at Niagara Falls Ont.

Around 1929 this house was purchased by Oliver Airhart,  a a Lake Township pioneer,  a Methodist,  and a member of Council.
